I am in San Sebastián, A beautiful city on the Atlantic Ocean. I Walked 27 km today and tried to have people understand my Spanish. It was difficlt and my dogs are barking. Incidentally, that is my blog name!
So, this part of Spain looks amazingly like the Dipsea Trail. Lots of steep up and downs and giant banana slugs - but the slugs here are black and slimy, and disgusting as opposed to ours, which are yellow, slimy, and disgusting. I hiked today with a man named Nico who was fine till he took off his jacket (beer gut) and had to stop every 10 steps on the uphill to rest. I had to ditch him... It was taking too much time.
Tomorrow, a shorter walk - only 18.5 km and I'll be in a town called Zarautz.
